The AMG GT R is gloriously engineered, terrifically built, and as powerful as a Mercedes should be, but it has the added feature of being made for the racetrack. If other models of Mercedes are a rock, then the AMG GT R is paper – meticulous, dynamic, and highly valuable. Manufactured with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with a front-mid-engine design.

The suspension highlights modifiable coil-over springs with 3-stage adjustable dampers tuned by Mercedes Ride Control. Drivers have the option to choose between five different modes to assist with gear-change, speed, ride firmness, exhaust sound, etc. On top of that, there are nine settings for traction control on a seven-speed DCT gearbox.

This baby can make it from 0-60 MPH in a time of only 3.5 seconds and can produce a top speed of 198 MPH. These numbers don’t even do this Mercedes justice. The AMG GT R is a graceful and exquisite track car. Like all amazing sports cars, it communicates with its driver. It lets you know when there is grip and alerts you when the edge is coming near. It’s agile and direct in the corners, it can truly be awarded the title of a “drivers’ car”.
